Christmas!

Froggie and "Bampa" (my dad, V's grandpa) testing out a new toy!

I really can't believe it's been so long since I last blogged.... I didn't think that much time had transpired!

December was, like for most of you I'm sure, a very busy month. It always is. But I'll spare you the frabbajabber, though.

My first Christmas as a parent had a very different feel to it. We had to back out of several Christmas family events in order to keep a shred of our own sanity (both Job's family and mine live in the same area, so usually the 24th and the 25th are spent in a non-stop blur as we dash back and forth between different events). While reducing our amount of activity participation was indeed a wiser decision, it also left me feeling short-changed in regards to spending time with my own immediate family. Pooh. Hence, Christmas just didn't feel the same. BUT... we went to Liturgy and worshiped our true Lord and King, who was and is the "reason for the season."

No, it really was a good holiday, I just would have liked to spend more quality time with my own family. Maybe next year we will have it ironed out a little better!

In other news, I might switch out of Blogger soon.... I'm not liking the google monopoly and stuff. If and when "TDGB" finds a new home, you will be informed promptly, my friends :)

XK, this dilemma is heightened in our family as we have Sara's mother and father on separate visits along with my family. What we have done, that works VERY well is take off a week or a day after Christmas and go to the mountains with my family. It is much nicer and you feel like you get a lot more quality time with each family and a lot less stress.

Keep the pics of Froggy coming...i never tire of that cute baby!

Glorify Him!

I'm so thankful that our inlaws get along well, and my mom always does Christmas Eve, and my MIL does Christmas dinner when we are visiting, and when we aren't, well we are home.

I agree with Aaron, Froggy is adorable! I loved your Christmas card photo too!
