I guess it was only a matter of time

Hey Sara, remember when we joked about starting a website on REAL simplicity and REAL frugality (as opposed to the lovely but impractical and paradoxical magaizine 'Real Simple' which offers remedies to home organization and solutions that are, yes, simple, but hardly so on the pocketbook)?

Looks like someone beat us to it!! Check out the new site Want Not.
"WantNot.net is all about “having it all with less." It's quite good, and the author, Mir, is a hoot!

On another note, here's my stupid blunder of the day. I started a pot of coffee without, well, placing the pot in its place! *smacks head* Fortunately my new little coffee maker is smarter than I am. It doesn't decant the brew into the carafe unless it is on the hotplate! So, all I did was place the pot in its place and WOW the coffee started pouring! very cool. Maybe that's a standard feature nowadays... I've been in the dark ages when it comes to making my own coffee. But, I think I found a machine that works well and makes a good cup. I highly recommend it!

I'm glad you didn't have a coffee mess - cleaning up one *before* a cup of coffee is a chore! Grin.

Heh....Fr. Paul did that one time, when I'd put the carafe in the dishwasher. I thought maybe I should tell him, but then I thought, hey, he'll figure it out! Thing is, even with the feature that doesn't let the coffee out if there's no pot there, they eventually do have to let it out. And then we had coffee ALL OVER.

cool site! I'm glad you didn't have a mess either. Are you able to drink caffinated or are you doing the decaf thing with froggy? Basil was totally affected by caffine and with Juliana it seems to make no difference. Just wondering :)

Hey, that's a great site! I have it on my "dailies" now :). I will of course, always always always enjoy Real Simple (unless the change editors and go all fru-fru on me like Organic Style did) for it's calming pictures and practical tips like things to do with cheap old baking soda. :)

yes, fortunately a mess was avoided before my luck wore out! :) Nifty little gadget I've got here!

Sara, I'm doin' the decaf now, just because I was too addicted before and I needed to quit anyways. Caffeine is now saved for special/dire situations! :) But I do enjoy it now and then!

Heather, I'm glad you like the site! Yes, I too am a fan of Real Simple... boo on that Organics magazine!
