Ten Simple Pleasures
(gleaned from Luz's blog)
- a sleeping baby, curled up on your chest
- coffee with milk and a pastry
- a blank notebook or sketchbook... oh the possibilities!
- watching children cross themselves or prostrate at random in a church service
- sliding throbbing and aching feet between cool bedsheets after a long day
- big wet pecks on the lips from Job :D hehe
- a (rare) impulsive purchase of a CD, book or movie rental that I have NO CLUE about, but end up loving.
- a good, cozy sweater
- summer barbeques with family and oozing watermelon
- watching my baby stretch after a feeding or a good, long nap. She lifts her tiny arms up besides her head (since she's a baby her arms only read the top of her head, this amuses me to no end!) and her little fits are tightly balled. She gets this completely satisfied look on her milk-spotted face, and her eyes are closed. Her little back arches as she stretches her long body across my lap. Oh, I'm so tickled and enraptured each time she does this!

Two posts in one day! Especially loved your "simple pleasures". I could totally picture "CeCe's stretched out contented mushy flesh! How I love the real simple pleasures of life!
Oh my goodness, that stretch with the fist is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE movement babies do! It makes me melt every time!
Great list
I just love seeing children cross themselves, too. Johnny has started blowing kisses to the icons at home and church. When we walk into church he starts throwing kisses right and left to all the icons on the walls. Eventually we will have to work on actually kissing the image, but I think it is one of the sweetest things right now.
i heartily agree on all but the kisses from job. i've never even met the guy!! jk ;)
