Well, it's been a good week so far. I'm trying to enjoy these last (work-free!) days of summer while simultaneously trying to be productive.
Fellow blogger Laura and I are teaming up to try our hand at creating a children's book. She's done the writing, and now (by the grace of God) I'm working on some illustrations. It's so fun, but it's difficult to find the time and space to "create." Right now all of my supplies are spread across the dining room table... colored pencils, markers, pencil shavings... it's a beautiful sight! But it looks like I won't get to work on it until later tonight, because I'm babysitting this evening. Oh well... I guess I should get back into the rhythm of working until the wee hours--preparing myself for college life once more!
Good news, I found my wedding dress today! THE Wedding Dress Wahoo! Glory to God... It's strange, but it's a big burden lifted off my chest. Now I can sort of plan everything else accordingly, etc. :) "The Dress" is beautiful, and my mom and I got a killer deal on it! Having "The Dress" that I'm going to get married in is quite a reality check... Oh my goodness, I'm actually getting married! Whoaaa......
Lately I've enjoyed watching the Olympics. My mom made koulouria (a Greek cookie, sort of similar to biscotti, in a way), so I guess that's as Greek as I'm gonna get: munching on koulouria while watching the Athens Olympics. Oh well. I was happy to see an Italian fellow win gold in some gymnastic event. Go Italians, go Swedes!

I'm very excited we got a dress (well you got a dress). Like you said Glory to God for his providence on getting one so cheap! I hope the book turns out well for Laura and you as well :)
Don't let him see the dress! It's supposed to be bad luck...if you believe that kind of whoo-ha...which I don't. LOL!
Cool beans about the book. I can remember in high school Spanish class we had to write and illustrate children's grammar books for elementary students to learn the language. I had a grand time doing that! Can't wait to see the finished product.
Sorry folks, I didn't mean to post my comment four times, yeesh. I noticed I made the mistake (posting too many... proof of my impatience), and so I deleted the comments, without remembering to keep one on there.
Anyways, yeah Laura I'll probably have to take my time with school starting on Monday. But, I've got one and a half done right now, and that's motivation enough to keep me going :D
Philippa, I remember my friend did that same project for his Spanish class, and I did the illustrations for him. IT was fun, my first "project."
Job,
Yes, sorry, you can't see the dress... but it was a stellar deal. We gotta save all the money we can :D
God bless to all,
XK
