The heat is on!

V. and Cousin K. and the "Snake" sprinkler-- lots of fun! V. has a bevy of swimsuits, but she often insists on wearing the padded suit (seen above), you know... just in case a flash flood occurs and she needs some flotation assistance. So funny, so cute... I just gotta squeeze her sometimes!

Job retrieved this little table and chair set from our storage shed. It once belonged to him and his brother, when they were small. I should probably refinish the chairs, at least, but for now they've got the "shabby chic" look going.
Last week we visited my long-time friend, Amy, who is expecting her first child in September! I'm so excited for her! Vasi took this picture of Amy and Susy... it's kind of a funny shot, but it was the only one that turned out. Go figure.
Here's Job at a pick-up game of ultimate frisbee after Vespers last Saturday. We were just about to play the whole "Sorry, we have two kids and gotta get home" card, but found ourselves taking a chance, staying a few hours and enjoying the perfect summer evening. Sometimes even parents gotta "live a little" :D

Today is really hot. My mom came for a visit and hung out with us. We got some lunch, and she helped me with some chores around the house, which is always nice! Now the house is hot, but at least it is extra tidy.

Midnight (the kitten) is getting large! Slowly but surely, she's becoming less aggressive and scratch-happy... I think she's realizing that life with two small children means a life of long-suffering.

Finally, my baby is starting to take some steps! Which, of course, means that she's not much of a baby anymore.... *sigh*

Hope you're all well!! Take care!

That's still a nice photo of your friend and her growing belly!

I am not very good...but love playing frisbee.

Swimsuits...so funny, that padded one doesn't even look comfy. Olivia insists on wearing one that is size 3...and she's 6 (it's stretched out with her as she's grown).

the swimsuit cracked me up. hannah and her little friend are so funny about their bathings suits, and say things like, "oooh ooh, like at mine, it shows my back!!" little girs are too cute sometimes!

i love the little table, and what a neato doll house.

Glad you liked the prayer, btw. We all need it in these times...

quite the little queen

Prepared for that Newberg flood

There's nothing like sprinkler fun

Oh my, I can SO relate to that! : ) I have comforted my unairconditioned self with that line many, many times the past twelve years.

LOVE the padded swimsuit, the doll house and this post in general!

awe- I love that I got a picture with your sweet little Sooz! It does kind of make me giggle though, because it looks like I'm tossing her out the window :) There are some good ones on my camera that I will have to send you. I was so great having you and the girls over!

Great post! Thanks for the picture of K! Such good friends they are!

I really want to start playing ultimate frisbee, is that weird?! We play the young parent card all too often, I'm afraid!

Love you,

Carrie (catching up on all your recent posts)
