So, this was my second project, completed for my sweet, new, darling niece. I'm still very much an amateur, but boy! quilting is a lot of fun. I just love to pick out different fabrics and arrange the colors and play with the possibilities. AND... this time I added some hand appliqued work, which made it all the more exciting.
A little bit of everything... Christy LOVES color (so do I), so I didn't hold back...
Cozy lilac flannel back....
Since I don't get to see my sweet niece Maggie very often (she lives in Northen California with my dear sister and BIL), I derive great comfort in the fact that this little quilt is close by her. Today when I called my sister, she said that Maggie was, in fact, stretched out, having fun lounging on the quilt! Yay! I'm so glad she likes it :D

Beautiful! I tagged you on my blog...
I LOVE IT!!!!! It is so beautiful!
I love, love love it!!! :D I could have guessed it was for Christy, the colors are so like her-and her personality. Yet they say baby Maggie too in a way-it is something I would have picked up for Christina when she was little...and the bear is adorable.
You have a great eye and it really translates into these lovely quilts. What a wonderful gift of the heart. :)
Much love,
Aunt Helen
looks cozy...good job :)
Wow. I love your natural sense of design and proportion. You might not want to start using "patterns" after all. :)
Wow! It's beautiful! I've always wanted to learn to quilt. What a treasure! :)
Oh my goodness, I am jealous of your mad quilting skills!
And, Maggie will love it!
That is one beautiful quilt! I really like it! I don't think I remembered you had a blog- I was looking through some old posts (not ALL of them obviously!) and I remembered you having the "Grab Bag" blog now. I started one a while ago and just made it public recently so I am new to the blog world. So now we can keep tabs with each other w/o facebook :) Love, Amy

A month of baby showers? What's in the water over there?! LOL!
I wish I could sew, I'm so not good at it. Those are some amazing quilts!
