Chilly, chilly! I had no idea February would be this cold. Rainy, perhaps. But frosty morning coldness? Interesting. And I don't even live on the east coast, where it's still snowing like mad.
This morning I "treated" myself to a decaf latte. No flavoring, no sugar, no nothing. I was a bit wary at this first attempt at completely sweetener free coffee. As it turns out though, I almost like it as much as if it had sugar. Perhaps this eradication of junk food has refined my taste a little. It's nice to drink coffee and not have it loaded with sugar (or aspertame or splenda, which I avoid altogether).
Thank you Laura for posting a link to this amazing post at Wittingshire. I know many moms (including my own) and grandmothers who work so hard at doing everything to keep their homes and families happy and afloat. Please take time to read this today, and like I said to Laura, I hope you find some time in your day to stop and enjoy a cup of tea (or coffee for that matter).
Speaking of my mom... Happy Anniversary to my Mom and Dad! Thirty two years ago today they were married (here in Portland!), two little lovebirds young and fair :) I hope they are able to share a special day together.

I walked the kids down to starbucks (only good coffee in walking distance) this morning and found i had dropped my purse along the way! thankfully it was sitting in front of a neihbor's house when i retraced my steps! many years to your parents :)
Dear Katie
Thank you for your kind wishes- and beautiful card! I loved the post on "wittinshire"- I even printed it- to linger over the inspiring words.
Stay bundled up with your precious "gift from God" these next chilly days!
Love- Mom
it's been sunny here, but very cold. I can't drink regular coffee without sweetner, but I like my lattes without. Enjoy!
Many years to your parents!
Happy, happy anniversary to your parents - Many Years to them!
It is very cold here too, but sunny. We had to cancel our Greek Dinner fundraiser at our church for fear of frozen roads and not being able to heat the hall properly.
As to coffee, I don't drink anything in it, excepting at Dennys or some other such place where it's horribly bad. I should just skip it there, you know?
Stay safe on these icy roads.
Your mom came by to visit me today and she never said a word about it being their anniversary! Happy Anniversary to your parents... may their example of ongoing love and commitment to each other provide an example to all of us (like my parents:)
Congratulations to your parents.
They have beautiful children to be proud of too:)
