So post grad life is now in full swing. Job and I have now been married for a month, thus married life is also in full swing. Life in the world of retail is in full swing, in all of its full-time glory.
There are thank-you notes to write... according to tradition, I've got one more month to complete them. yikes.
I've been asked to plan a bridal shower for Job's brother's fiancee. I'm actually quite honored to do so... I just wish I hadn't decided to make all the invitations myself. Hmm...
I've also got another little celebration in a few weeks-- my husband's 22nd birthday! He's had a long-standing birthday party tradition of playing a certain fantasy card game (yes, wizards and trolls and gremlins) with his high school buddies. When I first started dating Job, I laughed at this little tradition. I remember saying, "Well, you're not going to keep doing this, are you?" You know the rest of the story....
But that's all right. There are far, far worse things a fella could do on his birthday with his high school buddies. All in all, I'm thankful for Job and who he is as a man. On the actual night of his birthday, I think we're going to celebrate together with pizza (either homemade or from Papa Murphy's, depending on how things go), and a few friends here at our little apartment.
Well, that's really all there is for now. I hope this post finds you, dear reader, doing well! Through the prayers of today's saint, Kyriaki, Lord have mercy.
