Lovin' life

I thought I'd pop in to say hello and assure you that we are alive and well, thanks be to God!  My blog has been silent lately, mostly because now that I have a little laptop, I'm too lazy to get off the couch and blog via our downstairs PC (which is, according to my I.T. hubby, "more secure" and holds all of our family pictures on it, etc.).  It really is as embarrassingly simple as that.  Plus, we've just been crazy busy... in a good way.  As the kids get older, there's a lot more to do and be done around here... I am very excited for summer break and a hopefully (slightly?) slower pace.  We'll see.

The family is well at the moment, and my health is stable, again, thanks be to God.  My ITP is currently in "remission," and I don't have to visit the doctor anymore unless my symptoms return... which could be in 15 years, or tomorrow!   I know this is a condition I'll probably always have, but I'm just overjoyed and thankful that I even was able to achieve a remission period, and that we found a treatment that worked.  This is also partly why I re-joined Facebook-- to join an ITP support group/ discussion board that helped me feel less alone and much more informed.  Although I don't like how much of a time-suck/ distraction FB can be, I'm glad it can help in some ways.

I'm still sewing, but I continue to work on managing my time and expectations better so that I don't go overboard.  My last few garment projects have been kinda disappointing... my post-baby body is so weird and I feel like I need to reevaluate what does and doesn't work for me anymore.  Blurg.  I'd love to figure out a simple uniform system and just wear that everyday :)

I hope that you are all well!  Thanks for reading.  Hopefully I'll be back here soon!

Nice to see you here!

This is huge:
I continue to work on managing my time and expectations better so that I don't go overboard.

I think as we age, even if we did not have babies, as I have not and am now nearing halfway to 39 years of age, our bodies do change, and it takes adjusting to and new clothes/shapes/sizes. I do know that I have friends who have had babies who are in the same boat in terms of "what do I make now to fit the new me?"

love your pictures! :)
