My day, in haiku(s)

Today Joseph screamed
In line at the Fred Meyers
All four in tow.  Why?

We get to the van
Kids are buckled in, but wait--
Where is my smart phone?

I release the hounds
Unfettered, unstrollered, wild
We dash through the lot...

Cashier Dylan says
"No phone here, try back later"
I say "Ha ha ha"

Holding baby M,
Chasing Joseph, scolding girls
I'm sure I look nuts

Herd cats back to van
Defying death and logic
 In the busy lot

There at cart return
My smart phone is safe and sound
I grabbed it, of course

This is exactly
why I do not leave the house
anymore, okay?

That was an awesome way
To redeem the day.

A couple of couplets
To say how I loved it!

Hope tomorrow is less eventful!

drove you "over the wall"

seldom "roam".
