Pureness

Have you seen this video? My friend Maria sent me a link to it yesterday, and it is absolutely incredible. It's about a Vietnamese man who has, with his own meager salary, constructed a small cemetery for aborted babies. Aborted babies who, though not granted life on earth, are given a proper burial and therefore spared from the medical clinic's garbage. He also cares for 50 abandoned babies whose mothers obviously carried them to term, chose life, and yet don't feel fit to care for their children themselves. As you see in the video, the babies are given a shelter and food, love and care. They might not have all of the gadgets and flashy toys that our kids have, and they may not have full-time one-on-one time with an adult, or constant entertainment and baby gymboree classes. Some may mistake these aforementioned things as essential for bringing a baby into the world. I would say that is untrue. These children have LOVE, and this man reinforces the belief that no life is insignificant. Something that speaks volumes and rings out clearer than any law or legislature could do (though not unimportant).

1 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
3 “ Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before
you.

Lord have mercy!

Note: I edited this from it's previous version. I must have spent about over an hour just sort of writing down everything that came into my head. But it was a little rambly, so I thought I'd rework and edit it a bit. Thanks Marfa and Elizabeth for your comments, though!

Wow...this is very sweet. May God help him for taking such care of the pure (I really like how you describe this) little souls.

I was blown away by it all (the video of him). And I agreed with your first posting :) But, yes, unbelievable what he has done. Lord have mercy and bless him! Could you imagine if someone wanted to do that HERE? They would be sued for numerous reasons for burying the dead babies and the social system would never allow him to adopt all the alive ones. What a messed up world! God help us!

That is an incredible story. Hopefully, after that aired, he was able to receive some more monetary support. Thanks for sharing this.

I saw this video the other day too and was so deeply moved by it/him. I had the same thoughts as iconography girl, it is so disturbing that something like that could NEVER happen here. May God bless him and all those beautiful babies.
