I thoroughly enjoyed Mimi's post today, and I thought I'd copycat her.
25 years ago I:
- Wasn't even a glimmer in my parents' eyes yet. My sisters were 1 and 3 years old. Actually, I take that back. I guess I was 4 months away from being a "glimmer" so to speak. Hehehe.
- My parents and sisters lived in Atlanta in a big old house that they lived in for free (I think?) because my dad was hired to renovate it.
20 years ago I was:
- Technically three, but I'll go with four years old since my bday is in two months.
- Started preschool at Clairmont Presbyterian.
- I was afraid of the 5-year olds, because on the first day of "school" one of the 5 year olds stuck his tongue out at me, and from that point on I refused to play on the play equipment. I'd only swing on the swings. For the remainder of my childhood, I had a inferiority complex with kids who were older than me. Which might explain why I always dated younger guys, and ended up marrying one.
- Sesame Street was my all-time favorite show.
- I painted one of my first pictures entitled "Best Friends" which was a hit with my teachers. They took it over to the neighboring classroom to show the other teachers. At that point, I knew I wanted to be an artist.
(it's amazing how big of an impression these formative years made on the rest of my life)

- I was 14
- My dad sat us down for a "family discussion" where he sprung Orthodoxy on us for the first time. I was just like, "WHAAAAAT?"
- I visited an Orthodox church for the very first time ever. I think that was the biggest shock (in a good way) of my entire life.
- I started high school.
- I played volleyball and tennis.
