Thanks to everyone who offered their advice and feedback regarding my last post. Just so you know, today I looked at a different apartment in a comparably *much* safer area, and Job and I are submitting our application tomorrow. He wasn't able to come with me to see the place since he had class, but I went and I really liked it a lot. It can definetely work, and it's smack dab in the middle of church and Job's work. Yay! Man, I knew something would pop up eventually, just not so soon! Then again, we haven't gotten "approved" yet, so we're still subject to some additional apartment searching... but Lord willing, this will work out for us. Thank you for your concern and kindness.

As for the fellow who wouldn't let us in the 1 bedroom because of the baby, I'm not too distressed or worried about it. Of course, it's GOOD to be aware of Oregon's laws and regulations so that we can be informed and aware of any further discrimination in the future, should it ever happen again (thanks for the heads up Mimi and Pres. Elizabeth-- I appreciate it!). We have so many options right now, though, that sometimes it's just easier to cross something off your list to narrow down the options.

In other news, I had my 32 week appointment today-- yay! Everything looks great, according to my very kind midwife. Baby's growing accordingly, and I'm at the weight that I should be at-- PHEW! Now I can stop feeling guilty about having gained too much. Not that I'm gonna start packing away the ice cream and bon bons now... I'm still trying to be "good" except for the occasional small portion of dark chocolate covered raisins. This week my official "sweet treat" is being saved for Saturday. The ladies at church are throwing a baby shower for me (and another gal, who's due one week ahead of me), and there's gonna be cheesecake! Definetely a treat worth waiting for :)

Job's at a meeting tonight for his accounting major... so I think I'm going to start some baby announcements. OR work on her baby album scrapbook. You see, since we're going to move soon, I can't "nest" and prepare her things for her like her bassinette and all that fun stuff. So, my creative "nesting" outlet is making her birth announcements and scrapbook.

Have a good evening!

Susan,
Please come! Oh please please please! It wouldn't be right if you weren't there! You've got to "represent" all of my blogging friends (and Christina!!) who can't come. :) We'd love to have you! It's after Liturgy on Saturday at Jennifer Davis' home!

Christina,
Thank you, I'm quite happy to be at 32 weeks too! I really wish you could be there on Saturday... you will be SORELY MISSED not only by me, but by Tiffany as well. We are still the "April baby trio" you know.
You are so sweet... I hope everything goes perfectly with your surgery tomorrow.

Oh holy Theotokos, intercede on Christina's behalf.

Much LOVE to you!

Mmmm....cheesecake.....thanks for reminding me that I wanted to make some this week, while we still can! And I'm out of milk, so I need to head to the store, anyway. Only one carton, though....Zac says he's going to fast this Lent. I think Hibi has shown him how easy it is.

Happy nesting :)
I called the other night--wanted to know what you are doing this Sunday night around 7pm. If you're free, maybe you could join mom and some other friends of mine for lady's spa night :). I know...girly, but fun! Let me know if you're up to it.

I just wanted to pop in and say hello to Job and you. I began reading your blog recently when I linked to it off of another Orthodox blog. Best wishes with the baby and with the apartment shopping. Good luck!

Elizabeth,
Kudos to Zac for trying out the fast completely this year :) Good for him! Yes, go make some cheesecake!

Gabriel,
Hey there, welcome! So glad you popped in and said hello :) I enjoyed visiting your blog. I grew up in Georgia (Decatur area)! Very cool :) Thanks for your comment!

Sara,
Yeah, I don't think I've been to enough wedding and/or baby showers to get sick of them yet. Gosh... seems not too long ago I was having my own wedding shower... hahaha! Yay, 8 more weeks!!! :)

Decatur? Get out of town! Well, I guess that you already have. :)My wife grew up in Dekalb County, just a couple of miles from Decatur. In fact, I still have a brother-in-law that lives over in that part of town. We live in Douglasville right now, which is about 35-40 miles west of Atlanta. Wow, what a small world. Too cool!
