One more day until Christmas Eve. Well, just a few more hours, actually.
I drove to work today and it took 20 minutes to find parking. AAAAAAAAAHHH! Needless to say, I was late to work. But unfortunately, being late is kinda routine for me. But not 20 minutes... yeah, it's absolutely amazing I haven't been fired yet. At least it wasn't entirely my fault this evening.
I'm on lunch break, and I'm working until 10 tonight. Then I have the next two days off work to enjoy the holidays with family, etc. I do indeed miss the days of winter breaks in school... I'm trying to get the first week of January off work, but I don't find out for a few more days if I got it or not.
I'm hoping to make it home in time tonight to attend the last moments of a Christmas party that my brother in law and his wife are hosting. At the beginning of the month, I wasn't looking forward to all of the holiday parties I'd have to attend, but it turns out that two were cancelled b/c of the weather last weekend. So I'm yearning for a little Christmas cheer... it's good to get out and be with people, instead of sitting at home twiddling my thumbs.
All of the presents are purchased and most are wrapped. It's funny, a few were wrapped at work, so they're all picturesque with gorgeous Italian wrapping paper and fine ribbon (I work in a paper store, for those who might not know). The other 1/2 of the gifts were wrapped by Job, who has impressive skills for a man who doesn't consider himself to be creative in any way... but there is a bit of a difference between his wrapping and mine... hehehe. Oh well, people will just have to like what they get. It all gets torn to shreds anyway.
I had a very lovely birthday last week. My day was busy with family, an outing to see Narnia, church and more family celebration time :) Needless to say, I felt very loved. I'm so thankful.
And though there's still four more hours of work to go, I'm going to remain optimistic. Afterall, I'm still sipping away at my "mistletoe mocha" that Job surprised me with this afternoon (gosh, I LOVE it when he does that!), and that's keeping me content. And although I get off work late, it means I don't have to face traffic! YES! Good night everyone. Have a joyous and festive Christmas!
Christ is Born! Glorify Him!!!
Love,
Xenia Kathryn

I'm sorry you were late - the traffic was unreal today here as well.
